UFC 317: Topuria vs. Oliveira Live Thread
I'm back, and bigger than ever!
The UFC returns to the land of quality fight cards this week with a PPV offering featuring several of the promotion’s most promising rising stars. Former FW champ Ilia Topuria makes his move on the LW belt against former champion Charles Oliveira in the main event, while Alexandre Pantoja defends his title against Kai Kara France in the co-main. Throw a little Payton Talbott and Joshua Van in there and it promises to be a thriller. Join me for all the action, starting at 7pm Eastern/4pm Pacific.
Speaking of Gastelum I had a fun moment the other day at my job. Was out checking out "firecracker alley" in Tacoma and talking to one of the guys that runs a booth there. We got to chatting about movies, and he mentions that he's in entertainment and used to be a pro fighter.
Turns out he's a longtime syndicate guy and former pro whose done a ton of sparring with Khalil Rountree and other Vegas guys, and had pro bouts against both Gastelum and CB Dollaway early in their careers.
Super nice dude.
